I have always been fascinated by what motivates people to reach out and help one another. I have a close friend who often says: The true measure of someone helping someone else is when they lend a hand to someone who can never repay them. That circumstance happens often when we help a stranger who we will never see again. John’s statement in the above scripture is about showing hospitality to brothers and sisters that work in Christ’s service, especially strangers. He encourages us that we are being faithful in our commitment to God when we care for others. We do honor God when only He knows how we have helped someone and that person will never be able to return the favor. Looking for something in the
